Family is the most important thing in our life and opening this coffee shop was the perfect answer for spending more time together. Who knew we’d be watching them mature this quickly – and quite the personality they all have! Christian is the proud father of two boys. April is the proud mother of one girl. We’re pretty proud of our blended family!

Christian has been a chef and a part of the restaurant industry for 20+ years. His experience ranges from Line Cook in a gastropub to Chef de Cuisine in a scratch kitchen to opening a French restaurant as Chef de Partie. He also spent time running an inn on the Hudson River as Head Chef and Manager. He has managed crews from 3 to 30 and has been responsible for revenues into the millions.
He was raised in North Carolina and spent time cooking in Ft. Lauderdale, St. Louis, Bronx, Manhattan, the Catskills, and later found himself returning home to Raleigh. This February he packed up and left home, landing here in Fredericksburg to be closer to his sons. It was here that he met his better half.

April is a front-end web developer and designer. She started her career as a print designer and later moved to the web. Self-taught for the most of her skills but did obtain an Associates of Art in Web Design from the Art Institute of Washington.April is native to Virginia having spent most of her life in the Woodbridge area.
She is a single mom and career-long commuter to the DC and Richmond area. In the midst of a divorce she found herself instantly drawn to Christian’s passion, talents and dedication to his children. April and Christian quickly realized that being a part of their children’s lives was more important than a high-paying gig, extended time away from home and day care.
